2019 “Double Header” $25 Gold Proof Coin – 1/4oz 99.99% Pure Gold

Marking a new era in Australian coinage, the Royal Australian Mint issued this remarkable 2019 $25 “Double Header” Gold Proof Coin to commemorate the introduction of the sixth effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Australian coins.

Struck from 1/4oz of 99.99% pure gold to an immaculate Proof finish, this historic release uniquely features two effigies of Queen Elizabeth II—making it a true “double header” collectible.

The reverse displays Ian Rank-Broadley’s fifth portrait of the Queen, which appeared on Australian coinage from 1998 to 2019, symbolising the close of a significant numismatic era. The obverse features Jody Clark’s sixth effigy, depicting Her Majesty facing right in accordance with tradition, wearing the Royal Diamond Diadem she donned at her coronation.

With an extremely limited mintage of just 750 Proof coins, each example is encapsulated and housed in a black hinged-lid presentation case, protected within a themed cardboard shipper and accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
