2014 $1 World War 1 Shrine of Remembrance M counterstamp
To mark the Centenary of Anzac period, the Royal Australian Mint released an official 100 Years of Anzac coin into circulation in February.
It commemorates the memory of those Australians who have served and sacrificed wearing the uniform of our nation.
This coin is issued with limited mintages at a special events to commemorate the momentous occasions in military history.
The Royal Australian Mint’s attendance at to upcoming momentous events will be marked by two new counterstamp coins being produced.
The Mint will also be in attendance at the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne, to pay respects on Remembrance Day.
The mobile press will strike a ‘M’ counterstamp onto the 2014 $1 circulating coin – 100 Years of Anzac.
The release of the ‘AL’ and ‘M’ counterstamps will present a rare opportunity to purchase this unique circulating design with collectable counterstamp marks.
The reverse features the Australian Government’s official ANZAC Centenary Logo.
A limited mintage of 15,000 coin will be struck at Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne.
