2017 50 cent XA Falcon (1971-73) from Ford Australia Classic Collection

Ford began manufacturing in Australia in 1925 when Geelong was selected as the site for its first local factory. Built for Australians by Australians this simple premise ignited the manufacturing sector with the affordable Model T starting at £169. Creating thousands of jobs within Ford the effect of locally manufactured automobiles transformed Australia in terms of how we explored our expansive country.

Working closely with Ford Australia the Royal Australian Mint has struck a series of eleven 2017 cupro nickel uncirculated coloured 50 cents.
